1. Fill it in completely
Main and secondary categories, services, opening hours (holidays too), phone, website and description. A half-empty listing gives Google fewer reasons to show it and your customer fewer reasons to call.
2. Real, recent photos
The place from outside and inside, your team and your work. Your own photos beat stock ones. Add a few new ones each month so the listing looks alive.
3. Ask for reviews, and answer them
Ask at the moment the customer leaves happy: a QR code at the counter works. Reply to every review, bad ones too, calmly and without arguing. People deciding look at the replies as much as the stars.
4. Link to a site that answers in three seconds
Someone arriving from a phone wants to know what you do, where you are and how to book. If it loads slowly or the phone number is hard to find, they leave. The site has to finish what the listing starts.
5. Measure every month
Google Business Profile shows calls, direction requests and website clicks. Write the three numbers down each month and compare with the last. Without that you can’t tell which change worked.
